OST Newsletter- December 14th

GRASP Rocks!

Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                                               December 14th, 2012

Hello! This week GRASP students participated in different activities that related to our theme of Winter. They participated in an activity that involved making snowflakes with beads and really enjoyed the other activities as well. I want to say, "Thank You!" to the 2nd Grade Class for donating part of their Candy Cand funds to the GRASP program. I would also like to say, "Great Job!" to everyone for a good winter concert on Thursday.
I do have  a special note from Mr. Dalchow and I regarding the GRASP program and the winter weather. Here is how the GRASP program wil operate as it relates to late starts, early releases due to weather, and school cancellations:
1 or 2 hour Late Start to school:
OST will still be open at 7 AM with breakfast served at 8 AM
Early Relase from school due to weather:
                       No OST
          School Cancellation:
                       No OST
Note that if school gets called off after a late start, students will need to be picked up immediately as there will be no OST after a cancellation of school.

Next Week’s Agenda
·       Monday- Almond Bark Preztel treats
·       Tuesday- Wreath Handprint Craft
·       Wednesday- Christmas Tree Craft
·       Thursday- Board Games
·       Friday- A Golden Christmas- The Second Tail (rated G)

If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mr. Dalchow at Dan.Dalchow@k12.sd.us or 397-2317.

I really enjoy getting to know the students that attend GRASP. I would personally like to invite all students to GRASP. Every day we are making memories and having fun! Take a look at all the fun we are having on our blog:http://grotonost.blogspot.com/. I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child in the upcoming weeks. Have a wonderful week!

 Ms. Long
