OST Newsletter- December 14th

GRASP Rocks!

Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                                               December 14th, 2012

Hello! This week GRASP students participated in different activities that related to our theme of Winter. They participated in an activity that involved making snowflakes with beads and really enjoyed the other activities as well. I want to say, "Thank You!" to the 2nd Grade Class for donating part of their Candy Cand funds to the GRASP program. I would also like to say, "Great Job!" to everyone for a good winter concert on Thursday.
I do have  a special note from Mr. Dalchow and I regarding the GRASP program and the winter weather. Here is how the GRASP program wil operate as it relates to late starts, early releases due to weather, and school cancellations:
1 or 2 hour Late Start to school:
OST will still be open at 7 AM with breakfast served at 8 AM
Early Relase from school due to weather:
                       No OST
          School Cancellation:
                       No OST
Note that if school gets called off after a late start, students will need to be picked up immediately as there will be no OST after a cancellation of school.

GRASP Rocks!

Dear Parents/Guardians,                                                                                  October 12, 2012

Hello again! This week GRASP students were very busy playing games and making different projects. The students really enjoyed all the different games we did with the parachute. They were teaching me games about the parachute I had never experienced before; therefore, it was a learning experience for all of us! We also went on a leaf/nature hunt, made collages about our lives and interests-this was a good way for all students to get to know each other.

Next week in GRASP we are going to be doing different jungle activities and projects. We will discuss what a jungle is, what animals live there and some fun facts about it. Lastly, we will watch the Jungle Book movie in order to get a feel of what a jungle may look like and what creatures live in the jungle. However, I will make sure to let all students know animals do not talk J

Next Week’s Agenda

·       Tuesday- Gym activityàCapture the flag
